As part of the Silver IT Roadshow this weekend at Toa Payoh HDB Hub, Moses will be sharing at a session for each of the day.
There will also be a booth at which anyone above 50 years old can have a preview of the Silver Digital Creators course that is starting in September.
On Saturday, 21 July, a community event planned by Moses took place: A Place in Our Hearts – Toa Payoh. Teams spent the morning exploring Toa Payoh and making an ebook with the iPads provided.
In this morning of smiles and much kindness, generous helping, and meaningful time spent together, a total of 14 ebooks were made. These are available at https://aplaceinourhearts.weebly.com/the-books.html for viewing.
This was Moses’ personal project, and he is grateful to get the support of volunteers and partners and the HDB’s Friendly Faces Lively Places fund to be able to bring the joy of creating with technology to more people and encouraging the spending time to pause and explore possibilities.
This is a community bonding event that Pauseability is organising.
We are looking for participants and volunteers. Do check out the website https://aplaceinourhearts.weebly.com
A group of us* joined Pameran Poskad this year.

In conjunction with Academy of Literary Arts & Publishing Singapore, we are pleased to present a Create Your Own ePix Books workshop on 7 Oct 2017.
Register here: http://alap.bookcouncil.sg/courses/detail/creating-your-own-epix-books
An ePix book is an electronic Picture Book which you can make easily and independently. You can use it and view it online or even have it printed into a professional looking book. A good ePix Book features a magical combination of multimedia and interactive elements which add to the storytelling and reading experience. In this workshop, participants will use a free app named TinyTap to create the ePix book. Pick up tips from the creator of ePix books and write and illustrate your very own ePix Book!
Together, we will …
– explore elements of storytelling
– use the free app TinyTap to write, illustrate and create an ePix Book (please bring your iPad or Android tablet for this workshop)
– have plenty of fun stretching your imagination and creativity
– experience the joy of publishing your first ePix Book!
